Call for Abstracts: IFSW Africa Region and Rwanda National Organization of Social Workers (RWA-NOSW) are happy to announce the IFSW Africa Region Conference 2021 and calls for the submission of abstracts. The SWSD Social work Conference will be held in Kigali Rwanda from the 23rd to 26th November 2021.
We invite all practitioners, scholars, researchers, students and citizen-scientists from all disciplines, to come share with the global world based on the theme ‘Towards Ubuntu and Sustainable Development Work position in achieving SDGs’ in relation to the current trends. We all have a role in promoting sustainable development and we believe Ubuntu philosophy guides us there.
Submission is now open with a deadline: 15th August 2021.
The sub-themes are:
• COVID-19, gender equality and violence
• Poverty, inequalities, hunger eradication
• Health and sustainable social infrastructure amid COVID-19
• Inclusive education and child protection amid the pandemic
• Natural and manmade disaster management
• Sustainable communities and cities, co-building the future with social work.
• Ubuntu sustaining peace, justice, and development.
• indigenous knowledge decolonizing social work
Types of presentations are mainly, oral and poster.
It is possible to submit an abstract for
•Workshop 45min max 60mins.
•Presentation of up to 15 minutes and 5 minutes discussion
•Posters
•Ten minutes presentations
